Taieri Gold Veteran Pennants Team Strikes Again

Today (10 Nov) saw the “clash” between the 2014 Champion Dunedin and North Otago teams at the Waikouaiti Golf Club.

The Taieri Gold and North Otago teams battled out a two-all draw to halve the match, forcing a sudden-death playoff between the teams No.1’s. The playoff was settled on the first extra hole, when Neil Walker’s par was good enough to secure the victory.

This is believed to be the first “win” by a Taieri Veterans Pennants team in this inter-district playoff.

“Congratulations” to all the Taieri Gold team members, both those who played on the day plus those who represented the team throughout the 2014 season.
